“Ivan Kroupa is one of the most interesting Czech architects. The projects done in his architectural office, always manage to be something different, not part of the mainstream. One of the most important parts of his work is the conceptual approach of the project. This, finally, generates, a sophisticated, highly original architecture, for some a bit strange, but extremely sensual.

He was involved in a lot of projects, and, like in the case of other great masters, some of the most interesting works, were never actually build. His architecture is rather small sized; an exception being the Art Gallery in Prague – Holesovice, witch represents an architectural conversion and extension of an old industrial-site.” (Mihai Dutescu)
